I N G a n d D E V E L O P M E N T
The City of Meadville Planning & Zoning Department sets the
framework for the City's development through a combination of policy
and development review and administration of the Zoning &
Subdivision Codes. This department is responsible for issuing
various permits for all construction within City limits. The
Department is also in charge of the City Tree Program from planting
to removal. The Zoning Administrator is the City's liaison to the
Zoning Hearing Board and Planning Commission. Other
committees/commissions under the purview of this department include Shade Tree Commission,
Beautification Committee and Streetscape Review Committee.
