P O L I C E   D E P A R T M E N T

The City of Meadville Police Department, with a complement of twenty-two officers plus a canine officer, is responsible for ensuring the safety of the residents and visitors of the City of Meadville. There are approximately 13,685 full time residents in Meadville living in an area of approximately 4.5 square miles. A few of the many routine services this department provides to keep the community safe include monitoring and enforcing parking violations, enforcement of City Ordinances, fingerprinting for bonding and employment requirements, conducting a school crossing guard program and working with local schools on drug prevention programs.
