Refuse Collection Tag Program

The City of Meadville is offering services in addition to the basic refuse and recycling collection which will require an extra fee. A tag may be purchased from the City and placed on the items listed below.

Tags can be purchased online or from the Management and Development Office and the Treasurer's Office during normal business hours of 9 AM until 12 PM and 1 PM until 4 PM in City Hall or at the Meadville City Police Department in City Hall, 984 Water Street after normal business hours.

Large Item

Large items include, but are not limited to sofas, chairs, mattresses, box springs, rolled carpet, televisions etc. These items may now be placed at the curb for collection on your regularly scheduled collection day. The procedure for purchasing tags is explained above.

Appliance With Freon

Refrigerators, freezers, dehumidifiers and other appliances with CFC'S (Freon) can be placed at the curb on your regular collection day provided that the appropriate tag is placed on the item.

Extra Bag

If you have occasion to place extra bags of refuse to the curb exceeding the three (3) thirty six (36) gallon cans per week, this may also be done by purchasing a tag from the City. Extra bags are picked up on your regular collection day.
