Our downtown business district features dozens of locally-owned retail and specialty stores, as well as cafes, restaurants, and bars. Experience Meadville hosts First Friday events for extended shopping hours, exclusive offers, and activities nearly every month (except for January and July). The Second Saturday Community Markets also fill our downtown streets with art & craft vendors, music, games, and more from May-September, which coincide with the Market House's Saturday Farmers Markets.
Between live theatre, music, comedy, galleries, and more, downtown Meadville is truly a hub for arts & culture. There is something for everyone to find their joy!
Experience Meadville also offers "Downtown Dollars" which act as gift vouchers to participating businesses. Downtown Dollars are sold in $5, $10, and $25 denominations and can be purchased at the City Building during normal operating hours. Support local by using downtown dollars all year round!
