Finance
The mission of the Finance Department is to professionally administer and accurately report all financial transactions of the City of Meadville in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, Government Accounting and Auditing Standards, federal and state laws and regulations, and City Ordinances and policies.
In general, services include budget development, accounting services, payroll and benefits administration, accounts payable and purchasing oversight, utility billing and collection services, risk management, investments, IT administration, systems management, and administrative and technical support to City Authorities. The Finance Department produces various financial reports on a monthly and annual basis. These reports provide valuable information regarding the status of the City’s financials to Council and staff.
