Authorities, Boards, & Commissions

The City of Meadville operates through a variety of authorities, boards, commissions, and committees (ABCs) staffed by volunteers. These ABCs contribute to a variety of necessary City functions and ensure that our community is responsive to the needs of our residents, business owners, property owners, and visitors. Appointments to all ABCs are made by Meadville City Council, based on the eligibility requirements of the controlling legislation and on the recommendation of an ad hoc committee comprised of City Councilmembers, ABC members, and/or City Staff.
